Product photos sell the idea. Warehouse QC photos help confirm the item you are actually receiving. Write down what you need before you approve anything.
Ask for the angles that matter
Generic “front only” photos hide the flaws that usually cause returns. Ask for the views that prove construction, labeling, and pair consistency.
- Front, back, and side views
- Close-ups of logos, tags, zippers, and stitching
- Pair shots for shoes or matched sets
- Any measurement the size chart promised
Category-specific QC requests
Reuse the same album template and you will miss category-specific failures. Match the request to why you saved the spreadsheet row.

Compare QC to the listing you saved
Open the original spreadsheet or the live listing beside the warehouse photos. Color tone, proportion, and logo placement should still match the reason you saved the item.
If you cannot explain in one sentence why the QC album still matches your save reason, pause — do not approve on vibes.
Pass / fail habits that save money
QC is a decision gate, not a photo gallery. Use a written rule so “sunk cost” feelings do not ship a regret.
- Pass: identity matches, size notes hold, defects within your tolerance.
- Request more photos: key angle missing, glare hides the logo, measurement not shown.
- Fail / exchange: wrong colorway, broken function (zip/sole), size clearly off chart.
- Cut from haul: item still “ok” but shipping value no longer worth it.
Decide before shipping fees feel sunk
QC review is cheaper than international shipping a regret. If the photos fail your checklist, reject or exchange while the item is still in the warehouse.
