How to use this QC checklist in real orders
FashionReps haul posts keep repeating the same habit: clear QC photos → decide in the warehouse → then pay international shipping. This page is the printable-style list for that moment — not a substitute for the longer QC photos guide.
Work top to bottom. If identity fails, stop. Do not “hope the next photo looks better” after you already love the logo close-up.
1. Identity checks (do these first)
Wrong size tags and swapped colorways show up often enough that this block comes before beauty shots.
- Title / model matches the spreadsheet or live listing you saved
- Colorway matches the ordered option (warehouse light can wash beige/grey)
- Size label matches what you ordered (collar, hangtag, or shoe box/side)
- Quantity is correct if you ordered pairs or multi-packs
- No obvious wrong item or seller swap
2. Construction & detail checks
Zoom macros the way you would on a phone in a haul review thread — stitching, glue, hardware, print edges.
- Stitching, glue lines, and edges acceptable for the price band
- Logo / print / embroidery placement and clarity
- Zippers, buttons, and hardware close-ups when relevant
- Pair or set consistency (left/right shoes, top/bottom sets)
- No stains, holes, crushed corners, or damaged packaging you care about
3. Category add-ons (expand beyond shoes & hoodies)
Ask for missing angles before you GL. Free standard QC is often overview-only; pay for a measurement or HD shot when fit is the reason you bought.
- Shoes: pair shot, soles, heel tabs, toe box, insole/size mark
- Hoodies / tees: flat front/back, graphic edges, chest or length if sizing mattered
- Jackets: zipper track, lining/fill, sleeve length
- Pants / shorts: waist tag, inseam/outseam flat lay, pocket stitch
- Bags: hardware macros, shape, at least one interior shot
- Jersey: name/number placement, badge close-up, fabric stretch note
- Headwear: side profile, brim curve, embroidery, inner band
- Electronics: readable model text, plug/ports, packaging contents
Timing: when to open this checklist
Open it the moment the warehouse album lands — not after you already mentally spent the shipping money. If you wait until consolidate, GL/RL feels sunk even when RL is still free in the warehouse.
Keep the spreadsheet or live listing tab beside the album. Identity and colorway checks are faster when you can see what you ordered, not only what arrived.
4. Pass / fail decision table
Write the rule before emotions rearrange it. Use this table next to the album — then pick one outcome only.
| Signal | GL (approve) | Request more | RL / cut |
|---|---|---|---|
| Identity | Model, color, size label match the order | Tag unreadable / glare | Wrong item, size, or colorway |
| Construction | Defects within your price tolerance | Need a tighter macro | Broken zip, open seam, crushed corner you will hate |
| Fit reason | Charted measurement shown and OK | Measurement missing but buy reason was fit | Measurement clearly off the chart you trusted |
| Haul value | Still worth shipping at landed cost | — | Item is “ok” but shipping value no longer worth it |
5. GL / RL outcomes (pick one)
Do not ship a maybe. Exchange or return while the item is still in the warehouse — the same advice that shows up across real Mulebuy haul reviews when something fails QC.
- Approve (GL) — checklist passed
- Request more photos — angle or measurement still missing
- Exchange / return — critical line failed
- Cut from haul — passed QC but shipping envelope says no
- Re-check haul weight if you remove items before submitting the parcel
Common QC failures (and the fix)
These habits create most first-haul regrets. Fix them before international shipping feels sunk.
- Failure: GL on hero vibe only → Fix: run identity + one category add-on first.
- Failure: “request later” forever → Fix: set a 24h rule — more photos or RL.
- Failure: approve then panic at the quote → Fix: cut weak items before consolidate.
- Failure: same checklist for shoes and electronics → Fix: use the category add-ons block.
